THE ROSARY

First Prayer

O Mary,

You shine continuously on our journey

as a sign of salvation and hope.

We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick,

who, at the foot of the cross,

were united with Jesus’ suffering,

and persevered in your faith.

“Protectress of the Roman people”,

you know our needs,

and we know that you will provide,

so that, as at Cana in Galilee,

joy and celebration may return

after this time of trial.

Helpus, Mother of Divine Love,

to conform ourselves to the will of the Father

and to do what Jesus tells us.

For he took upon himself our suffering,

and burdened himselfwith our sorrows

to bring us, through the cross,

to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.

We fly to your protection, O Holy Mother of God;Do not despise our petitions in our necessities, but deliver us alwaysfrom every danger, O Glorious and Blessed Virgin.

SPIRITUAL COMMUNION PRAYER

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

The Vatican has made available a downloadable PDF book containing prayers, documents, supplications, and the daily homilies of Pope Francis since the beginning of the Corona virus. It is intended to be “a little help offered to all to help us discern and experience God’s closeness and tenderness in pain, in suffering, in solitude, and in fear." This book will be constantly updated regularly
