Panzica Construction seeks foreclosure of condo building in Cleveland's Avenue District
Panzica Construction Co. has filed a lawsuit seeking to foreclose on the condo building at 1211 St. Clair Ave. in downtown Cleveland. The contractor claims that it is owed more than $2.7 million for work on the building, part of developer Nathan Zaremba's Avenue District project.
Developers Diversified to sell 36 million to 41.4 million shares
BEACHWOOD -- Developers Diversified Realty Corp. has launched a public offering to sell between 36 million and 41.4 million shares of its common stock. The company plans to use proceeds from the offering to repay debt.
Associated Estates Realty Corp. reports $3.9 million fourth-quarter loss, $1.6 million full-year profit
Associated Estates Realty Corp., the Richmond Heights apartment owner and manager, lost $3.9 million during the fourth quarter as revenue and average rents fell. The company swung to a loss of 23 cents per share from a profit of $298,000, or 2 cents per share, during the fourth quarter of 2008.
Luxury townhouses in Cleveland's Little Italy are selling, but court fight looms
Buyers have been snapping up townhouses in the 27 Coltman development in Little Italy. But a dispute between the developers and neighboring property owners has cast a cloud over the project and driven some potential buyers away.
Downtown Cleveland property owners back renewal of special improvement district
Cleveland's City Council could begin voting this month on legislation to reauthorize a special improvement district, which supports downtown marketing efforts and cleaning and safety crews. Property owners representing 66 percent of the district have returned petitions in support of the program. The district was created in 2005 and is set to expire this year.
